Economic Integration, National Security and Strategic Uncertainty in Asia

An online conference on ‘Economic Integration, National Security and Strategic Uncertainty in Asia’ was held, comprising two major sessions. In the first session, papers were presented by Gordon de Brouwer on aligning security and economics in the national interest, Peter Drysdale, Rebecca Sta Maria and Dionisius Narjoko on regional cooperation, and Peter Drysdale, Amy King and Adam Triggs on the global system and Australia’s role.

The second session involved presentations by Shiro Armstrong and Urata Shujiro on Japan, Yose Rizal Damuri on Indonesia, Shankaran Nambiar on Malaysia, Vo Tri Thanh and Nguyen Anh Duong on Vietnam, and Wisarn Pupphavesa on Thailand. These presentations offered insights into the intersection of economics, security, and strategy in the Asia region.
