Roundtable on China and the Global Economic Order
The East Asian Bureau of Economic Research (EABER) and Emeritus Professor Peter Drysdale hosted a roundtable discussion on “China and the Global Economic Order” in collaboration with the Shanghai Institute of International Studies. The event welcomed Professor Dongxiao Chen, President of the Shanghai Institute of International Studies, along with his colleagues Dr. Shao and Professor Wang.
Throughout the full day of discussions at the Australian National University (ANU), the roundtables covered a range of topics, including international political and security issues, the role of China in the global economic order, the G20, regional economic cooperation, and more. In addition to the substantive discussions, there was also a meeting with the Vice Chancellor of ANU, further fostering engagement and collaboration between the participating institutions. The roundtable provided an opportunity for scholars and experts to exchange ideas, insights, and perspectives on the evolving dynamics of China’s engagement in the global economic order.
